Summer is Finally Here
So in some interesting news and updates on the family. My sister, Toshia, got her mission call this last month to Curitiba, Brazil (I don't know if I spelled that right) she is to report to the Brazil MTC on August 4th which means she will fly out on the 3rd. I'm so happy and proud of her but it will definately be a completely different world without her here, she will be missed.
Landon, my brother/cousin called for Mother's Day and he is doing great! He loves the mission and is having a wonderful time. It was good to hear his voice and know he was doing well.
We visited my grandparents in Mesquite this weekend (Spence had never met them so that was good) and they seem do be doing well.
My best bud, Janalee gets married on the 18th. Ashley, my cousin decided last minute to go to Mexico and teach english for the next 3 months. her brother, Tyson, left for his mission to Texas. Spencer's cousin, Dave, left for his mission to Finland. His other cousin, Dallan, leaves to California in the next couple of weeks. Overall the entire family is doing great and we are having fun keeping track of all of them.
In a special note I want to send a great big Thank you out to the moms in my life!!! I have truly been touched by all those wonderful women who support and love me. An extra Thank you to my mom and my mother-in-law! You are wonderful women, I love you, and I thank my Heavenly Father every day that I have such incredible examples in my life!

Some Pics and Updates I'm Just Getting Around To Posting
Finally!!!! The niece and nephew came! This is our new niece, Natalie, with her 2 older sisters. I didn't get any good pictures of Kyler (our nephew) but as soon as I get one I'll have him on here. They are both super cute and mom and babies are doing good. We couldn't love them more!
Yes it's true we traded in my bug and bought a truck. It's an '08 silver Ford F-150. We got a pretty good deal and I think we made a good choice. It's practically Spencer's baby but I'm glad he likes it plus it means we're going camping!!!!
Just a random picture we shot last second before the camera died...good times.
This was way back from Christmas when we went to see the lights on Temple Square.
Spencer's favorite activity is cleaning his guns and I don't mind one little bit, it's cute to watch him and I love the smell of the solvent.Anyway, life is good and all is well. Easter was great! We're super excited for things coming up, such as....Toshia (my little sister) getting her mission call, both David and Tyson (cousins) leaving on their missions, the school semester to end, camping and outdoor time, James and Rashel getting hitched, and all the fun in between.

Our rabbit, Stew, is finally here!!!
So we finally got to take our Rabbit, Stew, home! We've known we were getting him since he was about 2 weeks old (he's 6 weeks now) and he is super cute!!!! He is insanely fluffy and a total spaz which fits into our family perfectly! Both Spence and I have wanted a pet for quite awhile and since we couldn't have a dog we went for the next cutest thing and we love him.
Now I know he is only a rabbit but we have completely spoiled him, it's completely insane what we have bought for this little guy, it's totally worth it though.
He loves Spencer, he hops all over him and my favorite is he'll crawl up on Spencer's shoulder and just snuggle up in his scruff and go to sleep it's so cute!
So our happy little family is growing and doing well! Other than Stew, life is pretty much the same, busy and wonderful! Congratulations out to our cousins that have found the right girl and tied the knot the last little bit....Bryce and Amber, Robbie and Heather, and upcoming this week Jason and Selaina! Also coming up this week we are getting ready and excited to see our new niece Natalie Kate and our new nephew Kyler...it's going to be a great week!Monday, February 22, 2010
Luck of the Irish
Our most exciting news up to date is...we are getting a baby rabbit! He is darling and he will be old enough to take home in about a week. We are so super excited! Neither Spence or I have ever been without a pet in our lifetimes so the last few months have been strange for the both of us and after some discussion and consideration we decided this was the best option for us in our life right now. The best part is we are going to name him Stew, that way we can say this is our rabbit, Stew.....get it....ha ha ha.
Anyway, life is great and all is well! Lately I have been overwhelmed with the gratitude I have felt toward my husband, family, and Heavenly Father. They do so much for me and they have no idea how all the little things they do make such a difference in how I feel and what I'm able to accomplish so thank you to them!

Still Going Strong!
Neither of us can wait until summertime, we have some fun trips planned with our families and it will be nice to get away and make some more memories with them. Our families do so much for us and are such great examples to us (Heavenly Father knew we needed some good people to look after us).
Our holidays were fantastic, it was different for both of us trying to work in both families and all the parties and plans they had going along with setting our own traditions but we had fun and it was nice to get to spend so much time with family and friends.
Overall, life is super we are doing great and still enjoying the newlywed life! One of these days, I'll keep this blog a little more updated and get some pictures up.

Crazy Couple of Weeks!
We also had the pheasant hunt a few weeks ago so we got up bright and early to be there at first light but it payed off and we had lots of fun together. We love the outdoors! I have to give spence crap for his smile in this pic but he gives me crap for all my layers of clothing and earmuffs along with a hat so we're even :-)
Now for the not so fun news, my Grandpa Dean passed away unexpectedly this last week and will be greatly missed! He was a good man and a wonderful Grandpa! It has been difficult and I can't even imagine what my Grandma must be going through but it makes me so very grateful for the gospel and my knowledge of the Plan of Salvation! It's comforting to know that this isn't the end and we will see him again and he is experiencing an incredible reunion with many loved ones. It also made me extremely grateful to know I am sealed to Spencer for eternity and I will never lose him, he is a good man and has been my rock through this whole ordeal! I also offer my gratitude to all the many friends and neighbors who offered their help and prayers, we couldn't have done it without you so thank you so much on behalf of our entire family!
So yes, it has been a hectic couple of weeks but it's times like these that stregthen us and our relationships. Life is going good and all is well!
